Vintage Glamour
Following a large renovation project, these customers wished for a kitchen that was timeless but modern and classic in style. The sophisticated Winslow in Stone by Kitchen Stori was the perfect choice, with the beaded centre panel and routered shaker design emulating a mock inframe effect. Opting for a contrasting colour of Indigo for the island creates a focal point in this space. The work surfaces and large multi functional island with its sweeping curve is polished 20mm Silestone Ethereal Glow. The quartz worktops continue inside the dressers and butler’s pantry creating a seamless surface.
A large island incorporating seating was an absolute must to reflect the socialising this family enjoys. The island needed to look fabulous but also be functional and includes an ELICA Nikolatesla Fit XL Venting Induction Hob.
Separated by the island, the kitchen is split into two areas. Two large bifold dresser units provide space for not only crockery but also a large drinks cabinet with wine glass holders and wine rack rails. The Antique Bronze Silvered mirror in the drinks cabinet coupled with Art Deco inspired handles by Hendel and Hendel, bring an air of vintage glamour to this area. This is the perfect place for entertaining. With a spacious work surface there is plenty of room to mix that all important cocktail!
The other side of the island is all about the practicality of everyday living. A must-have was the Qettle Signature Modern boiling tap with a square spout. The tall larder units, open shelf and splashback mirror the furniture on the other side of the room offering a symmetrical calm to this space. The reeded glass in the glazed doors, the dark Tobacco oak carcass and shelving, and the moulded cornice throughout, elevates the kitchen and creates interesting focal points in this design. The butler’s pantry with bifold doors is practical and hides everyday appliances keeping work surfaces clear of clutter.
The full height crittall doors allow this room to be flooded with sunlight that bounces off the oak herringbone floor creating a warm glow throughout this stunning room.
Overlooking the kitchen, the living area continues the sophisticated colour scheme with the bespoke modern media wall encompassing an inset electric fireplace, creating an amazing focal point and providing entertainment and warmth in one stunning package.
