Super Stylish

This family already had a functional kitchen but they wanted a Super kitchen! We think we delivered on their brief. They decided on the Fenwick shaker door by Ethos in a colour combo of Taupe for the base and tall units and Graphite for the wall units. The contrasting Graphite units give a modern edge to a traditional shaker door.

Worktops and upstands are Light Natural Davenport Oak laminate with a full length Antique Bronze mirror splashback which is free of sockets and switches. The sleek minimalist pull handles in Brushed Steel are Liberty by Hendel and Hendel.

A wall of tall housing units accommodates the double oven and microwave, with an integrated larder fridge and larder freezer either side, along with storage above and below. The design includes a peninsula which allows for a breakfast bar so entertaining in this house is now on the comfiest looking barstools ever!

The peninsula is also home to the Bosch induction hob with extra wide pan drawers below. A bespoke ceiling bulkhead was built to mirror the peninsula and discreetly house the Lux Air extractor hood and is framed with ambient LED strip lighting. The larder unit houses the coffee machines and pods and keeps the worktops free of clutter, essential for this busy family with young children.

The customer’s choice of dark graphite LVT flooring is practical and easy to keep clean and ties in nicely with the matching graphite wall units. This kitchen gives this family lots of storage, an eating area or homework station for the children, or a place for the adults to sit with a coffee, and is also super low maintenance. We think it’s a Win Win all round.

We were almost at a point of giving up having visited the ‘large’ and well known national kitchen companies – no one could seem to grasp the concept of designing a space suitable for our needs as a young family – we were then introduced to Grappenhall Kitchen Company and our enthusiasm for kitchens was re-invigorated.
