In The Doghouse
A key must have for this couple when designing their new kitchen was to have a safe and secure space for their beloved dog, Harley. The oversized island provides plenty of storage and allows undercounter wall space to be freed up for the dog crate to fit neatly under the worktop.
They chose Kitchen Stori’s Zola Gloss in Light Grey for the wall units and Dust Grey for base units and island, combined with the Gola handleless rail system in brushed steel to give a minimalistic contemporary look.
Work surfaces and upstands are Silestone Blanco Maple and a large integrity sink also in Blanco Maple gives the area a sleek modern look.
The glass splashback in painted Copper makes a stunning statement and adds warmth to the room.
The multi purpose island has many features such as cupboard storage, extra wide pan drawers and integrated recycling bins, along with a pop up socket and usb dock. With the induction hob at one end and seating at the other end, this is the perfect multipurpose space for cooking and entertaining.
A bespoke ceiling bulkhead was built to mirror the island with ambient LED strip lighting and discreetly houses the Lux Air extractor hood. The customer’s choice of pendant lights with copper fittings ties in with splashback.
The full height corner diagonal larder pantry with internal sensor lights provides plenty of storage for everyday items.
With the pet pooch ever present in their minds, the customers chose a specialist anti slip flooring, Floors for Paws wood effect plank flooring. This was fitted by a local LVT installer, RRJ Flooring Solutions.
